Beyond the 30 active clubs above, 6 historical franchises are carried in the data so that old box scores resolve to a real club rather than to a dangling id: New Jersey Nets, Charlotte Hornets (1988-2002), Seattle SuperSonics, Vancouver Grizzlies, New Orleans Hornets, New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets. They are excluded from this index by the same defunct flag that keeps them out of the standings.
