Thirty clubs, thirty rows: unlike the NFL section there are no duplicate or historic identities here, because MLB relocations and renames are recorded by renaming the club rather than creating a second one. That is why the per-game stat table carries 35 spellings for these 30 clubs — Cleveland Indians, Florida Marlins and Oakland Athletics still appear on rows from the seasons those names were current, and are mapped to the club they became. Two further spellings in that column are not Major League clubs at all: a World Baseball Classic squad and a college side that played an exhibition. They resolve to nothing rather than being coerced into a league table. Records are 2025 regular season; the games column counts every regular-season fixture on record for that club, which for most is 2002 onward.
