The short version: an email address, whether you accepted these terms, and anonymous traffic figures. No name, no phone number, no payment details, and nothing about what you bet.

What we store

  • Your email address, and whether it has been verified. It comes from your sign-in, not from a form, so it is the address you actually use rather than one you typed.
  • That you accepted these terms, and which version, and when.
  • A note the owner wrote when inviting you, in his own words, so he can remember who you are. Something like "met at the barbershop".
  • Anonymous traffic figures: which pages are visited and roughly from where. This is Google Analytics and it does not identify you to us.

What we do not store

We never ask for your name. There is no name field in our database, because a name typed into a website cannot be verified and collecting one would only suggest it had been. We hold no phone number, no address, no payment details, and nothing at all about any bet you place. We could not tell you what you have wagered because we have never had it.

Who else sees it

  • Clerk handles sign-in and holds your email and password.
  • Neon hosts the database, and Vercel runs the site.
  • Google Analytics receives anonymous page views.

We do not sell anything to anyone, and we do not share your address with a bookmaker. If you tap through to a book, you arrive as an ordinary visitor and they learn nothing about you from us.

Cookies

A sign-in cookie so you stay signed in. A small preference cookie remembering your region and whether you want American or decimal odds. Analytics cookies. Nothing that follows you to other sites.

Deleting it

Ask, and your account and profile row are removed. During the beta, asking means telling the owner, since he invited you personally. Note that removing you from the invitation list closes your access but keeps the record that you accepted the terms on a given date, because that is a fact about a moment rather than a profile.

Changes

This will change as the product does. The date at the top is the version you are reading.
